A deputy in Coweta County in Georgia confirmed that Katt Williams was arrested on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing. Of course, this is standard fare for black people but you gotta love it when comedians spend the night in prison ’cause nothing’s very funny in there except for when they book him under his real name, Micah Williams.
What is funny also is that nearly this same time last year, Williams was arrested on gun possession charges after skipping out on a Conan O’Brien guest spot… They only hand out so many get out of jail free cards.
Williams has a bail hearing set for 4PM today and he has told TMZ that he was shooting a film in the area and had permission to be on the property. According to Williams, he had a spat with someone on the premises who called in a faux burglary to get “vengeance.” That does sound like a likely story, indeed.
